PROLONGED SEAL HUNT STIRS UP MOUNTING FEAR WORLDWIDE

Fact: Seasl are almost everyone’s favorite sea animal This year, this favorite sea creature is an exploration of profit obsession in Newfoundland, and the effects are far greater than expected. People tag it “inhumane seal hunt.” Why? - Because this important industry, as some supporters call it to be, is causing quite a stir among concerned individuals and agencies with the over quota for many years now.The call for boycott against Canadian seafood restaurants and some other establishments that seem to side this industry is not intentional so that they will lose business. It is merely to make a point. Point, that is, although we see value in the employment and capital generated from this industry, it is everybody’s responsibility to look after the cause and effects of seal hunts most especially when reports say that its commerciality is posing danger to the seal population.How can you get involved? Get your facts straight.Find resources to learn about seal hunt including the policies and strict measures that coincide with it. By knowing exactly what is going on, you can immerse yourself into the real situation and can make better judgments and you can know better how to help.Spread the word.Inform others about what you know as well as how they can contribute to generating awareness. Multi-link support is always better than single heads. What you can share with others?1.Seals are delicate mammals that must be preserved. 2.The annual seal hunt is an important industry because it raises income in the coastal communities of Canada. 3.Any industry, big or small, is responsible to its end product or consequences.4.Life is a precious thing.So, what must be done? At this point, it is wiser to have a multi-layer plan of the pros and cons of the seal hunt industry. If it’s causing too much controversy then perhaps something is really fishy! The economics of the seal hunt seem marginal at best. And besides, money is not everything. That one goes to the profit-minded or money-making sectors who think some concerned groups are misleading the public with erroneous statements against their business. Further follow ups are likewise needed to determine long-term results, including drastic effects.And in addition to the increasing threats of seal killing and the marine slaughter in general, the industry significantly needs a complete revamp or revival when it comes to its policies and regulations. That way, the public reports are consistent, fair and complete.
