There are lots of Blackjack tips surrounding the game. Hitting, standing, or splitting certain hands can give you a great chance of winning. There is a tip or strategy for every possible card combination in Blackjack, but here we will group many of them together and only point out the most important few.
A soft hand is one where there is an Ace. This is because an Ace can go either way, as a 1 or 11. A hard hand is where there is not one.
If your hand is equal to 16, it's probably worthwhile asking for another card (Hitting). The probability of you Busting when you get another card is relatively low.
Hit on soft 17.
If you have a Hard 17, carefully consider whether it's worthwhile to Hit. Look at the dealer's visible card value and ask yourself if the dealer is likely to have a better hand than yours.
Hit if the dealer has an 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, or A. Otherwise stand and cross your fingers that the dealer will bust.
Soft 18 is also complicated and should be based on the casino dealers showing card. If the dealer has a 9, 10, J, Q, K, or A then you should hit, otherwise it would be best to stand.
Stand on hard 18.
Hard 19 or 20 hands are very promising. Always stand on these.
