A craze over a football shirt
Job and Rey were fighting on what to buy last time they were in a sports center. Job wanted to buy a baseball jersey but Rey wanted a football shirt, Job was trying to convince Rey to buy a baseball jersey buy Rey was really insistent on buying a football shirt.
The problem is that Job is the one paying and this is actually a gift of Job to Rey. Rey thinks that if it is a gift then Job should buy something which Rey wants. To add on the insistence of Rey, he wanted a blue football shirt but again Job suggested red instead.
And so the story goes... but at the end, it was Rey who paid the for the football shirt because Job will not buy what Rey wanted. Rey was quite disappointed with the reaction of Job but he was understanding enough to let go of the argument and so he paid.
After some hours, Job felt guilty of what just happened and so he surprised Rey by bringing him to an open restaurant where you can see the fog and feel the cool breeze among the pine trees Rey was very happy. And due to the coldness of the weather, he wore the football shirt. And this started a new argument. The color became the discussion this time. Rey was so proud of his blue shirt but Job was still talking about the red jersey but secretly, Job bought a white overall to compliment the blue football shirt Rey wanted.
Before they went home Job came close to Rey and wrapped the overall to him and sweetly gave him a kiss. Rey was so happy that he almost had teary eyes and thank Job by reciprocating him with a hug.
Their friendship is usually like that. But amidst all the misunderstandings, they usually make up and hve remained friends for a long time. Even their differences in sports where Job enjoy baseball and not so much on football and Rey liking the other way around, they still find their commonality in many other things.
If football and baseball made their differences, they can agree on what food to eat and of course, a few bottles of beer. Even a disagreement over a baseball jersey or a football shirt can be settled over a piece of spicy chicken and a hot pepperoni pizza.
To many, football shirt is a craze and to Rey, even a gift from a friend like what Job wanted to give him is not acceptable. His being a football fanatic even show not only on shirts but on other things like carrying his favorite team written all over his jacket.
Not only Rey enjoy football shirts, he has collections of football star posters all fastened and fills up his room. He even had one of the stars signed an autograph in one of the posters and it is fastened on the center of his room together with smaller posters all over it.
One can have a fascination to his/ her own liking in life and Rey shows it on his football accessories as would any other people like Job who also does things like Rey do but themed in the world of baseball.
