TOP 10 Tips On How To Stay Zen in 2013

In 2013 I will share with you my own personal tips to allow you to be Zen in any circumstances of your life.

What is Zen ? to be Zen is to reach a lost serenity in a world where the material benefits, money and show are drivers more important than our own wellbeing.

Today we are running, running : more work, more money to buy more goods, quick.. We are selling our freedom and serenity against the hope of a new happiness that should come tomorrow. What if you sit down for a minute to stop the machine ? Stay Zen is to change your daily habits, so you can see the world differently and look at ourselves with a smile.

Staying Zen does not mean to spend the day in meditation, but only spend a few minutes to allow you to get back your serenity.

Rule No 1 : Slow down in life, Stop the race !

We are all depending on speed : planning is full, we are running all week, and the weekend is a marathon… What if we all slow down? We all need empty moment to breath, listen to ourselves.

First let's start the day with NO emergency. Finally very little is urgent. We are mixing up urgent and urgent : a sick child, an accident are urgent events , but they do not occur every day. All the rest is "urgent", really that urgent ? Stop ! stop running ! we are running down the stairs, we are speeding on the road, running to do our shopping, all this to gain a few minutes in a day … but we forget to breathe !

We have to stop the race, stop trying to do several things at the same time: cooking breakfast for children while emptying the dishwasher.. Why don't you take a cup of tea with them? Simply for the pleasure to sit down and chat with your children and share this moment off?

Take the time to reach serenity. This you cannot buy in a supermarket. She comes slowly to you and irradiate in every moment of your day.

To Stay Zen, we must enjoy the coming moment and take today as a bonus. Most of the time our watch gives us the time, but it put us in a state of permanent stress. Try to forget your watch for a day, you will see that you are capable of achieving all daily tasks without this watch. You are not running after time, you enjoy pacing yourself.

Try to associate all daily movements, even the odd or hard ones, to a small personal pleasure, enjoy the moment in the shower "feeling great" , breathe when you open the window, enjoy the fresh air, take it all in ! You will soon realize that you are achieving the same amount of work in a day, but less tired and more relaxed.

10 tips to stay Zen in your body : Wellness for your mind and your body

1. Take the time to breath twice a day

2. Get some fresh air for 10 minutes every day

3. Do not skip your lunch time

4. Eat fruit & vegetables every day

5. You know your sleeping cycle, when it's time to go to bed, go!

6. Slow down your movements to enjoy the present moment

7. Listen to your body, if it is tired then give it a break

8. Shower or a bath ? You deserve it after a hard day, get a self-massage if you can

9. Sometimes , cut yourself off from society for an evening, no radio, no TV, no telephone..Silence!

10. Avoid to push your limits pretending you are in articificial good health - drink less coffee, less alcool, less cigarettes and walk, walk, walk and exercise ! You will soon see all the benefits of your new life !
