Actions, Not Just Words Lead to Success
What's the difference in actions and words? Success! Success will involve making choices to take action and not just talk about it. There are many people doing outstanding things and experiencing success that we may think of as lucky, or in the right place and the right time. I believe we make our own luck and that we can become lucky by spending a great deal of our time in preparation for the success we desire. Sometimes it's scary to say out loud what our goals are, but if we don't declare these goals somewhere, we're less likely to achieve them. How might you do this? Post it on your blog, Facebook, Tweet it out on Twitter. Or, just could just call a couple of trusted friends and ask if you can tell them. Whatever way you choose, don't keep it quiet - Declare it!
What does preparation of success really look like? Start with a project that has high priority. Then give it enough productive time to learn whatever skills may be necesaary. It will include improving your skills, setting a daily plan to follow without fail, until you reach the target or result that you have decided is vital to reaching the next level of your success plan.
When we say, "take it to the next level," what we mean is that we're not willing to just maintain status quo, but we want to keep on growing, learning and expanding out business. Humans are so full of potential! Do everything you can to prepare for all the new and exciting opportunities that will come your way. Be aware of what you can do to be ready for this next season or level of success?
To make the best use of your time, start with a list of all the skills that are vital for the goal you have set. You can take classes, read books or listen to audio programs to help you hone your skills. Set aside blocks of time to do the work. Let yourself dream of that "big break" and then get ready for it - do what is necessary to master the skills and gain the knowledge needed for you to be prepared when it's your time.
Every small success is a stepping stone in the process that will eventually lead you to achieving the results and success you know are possible. If you're not sure what skills or activites will be needed, you must take time to research. In particular, look at people who have built businesses and lifestyles you admire and see what they are doing. What activites are part of a consistent plan that contributes to their success? You too can create success, it starts by taking action!
