Tips for Submitting to DMOZ

Have you seen people whose sites get approved in 2 weeks of submission to DMOZ and there are people who keep creeping about DMOZ don’t like there site and they have been waiting for years to get it approved. What people don’t get is it’s very important to follow the DMOZ guideline during submission; most people ignore it and don’t get listed.Let’s see important aspects of DMOZ Submission. 1) Category :It is highly recommended you try to find the best possible category for your website. Words and phrases like "cool" and "best darn site" will be removed. Suggestion :a) Keep Description as one liner statement - don't write long descriptions. DMOZ dont' like it. b) Never repeat what’s written in Title again in description, not even single word. c) Keep the description informative and no selling of site - it should not sound live an avertisement. d) Don’t try to stuff keywords. Never mention prices in description If you follow these simple guidelines you changes of approval will be very very high.
