Exposing the Lies Behind MLM

by Danny Rudloff

The vast majority of people will eventually think about whether they're able to earn income online. Sadly, the easiest option for most people looks to be MLM, so they join, promptly learn that there's a lot of hard work involved, end up making no money at all, and then decide earning money online must be impossible. MLM, or Multi-Level Marketing, is all about trying to recruit new people to promote the same things you are in order for you to try and earn a bit of commission from their hard work. This type of business model is inherently flawed, yet the slick advertising for MLM makes people believe it's the best opportunity available. Before you jump head-first into a flawed MLM scheme, consider some of the following points.

Many people have been told that the business model for MLM is one of the best out there, a definite moneymaker that has no equal. This is not true at all. Despite these rumors, MLM is only profitable for less than 1% of the people who actually try it. Earning money online, with a website selling products and services, is probably a better way to go. What most people do not understand is that MLM is "shaky", an unreliable business model that has a lot of problems. In fact, a trivial bookkeeping error would more than likely derail any MLM juggernaut. Many people have stated that "network marketing is one of the most popular ways to get new products on the market" - many businesses have said exactly that. It is absolutely 100% false. It is no longer nouveau to go door-to-door and try to peddle merchandise and represent your MLM company. People just don't do that today. Products today are sold using methods that are technologically advanced, much more efficient than the ones used years ago. The MLM business model is very simple: recruit other people and have them do most of the work so you can reap the rewards. People in the chain simply don't do any work. They are expecting it to be done by those they recruit.

A lot of multi level marketers will tell you that this business model is risk free. This is because the vendor will take the product back if you have a hard time selling it. Most times companies like this have hard to understand rules on how you can do this. You do not have a lot of time to get these products returned. You usually do not get all of your money back. For many years, MLM has been strongly associated as being useless for the vast majority of people. Yet, the industry still manages to attract more newbies to give it a shot, and so it remains. These newbies are the people who end up losing a lot of time and money - and often losing friends too - before they decide that all forms of online business must be equally as fake. Don't make this same mistake.
