Use Links to Market Your Business
By generating reciprocal links to your web page, you will get higher ranking in the search engines.
Use Links to Market Your Business
Are you getting started in a network marketing program or have you been in the business for a while and still need help getting links to your site? One of the most frequently asked questions about affiliate marketing is, what is an effective marketing link program? For an affiliate to ask this type of question means they have realized a very important requirement for the success of their program or business.
It doesn't matter what affiliate program you are talking about or thinking about, the same remains true. Without link-generated traffic your business will often fail. One of the fastest and most effective ways to gain traffic is to use links. This is true for short-term, medium-term, and long-term businesses. When you’re talking about short-term links, they will get you affiliate blog traffic as you climb in the search engine ranks. When you talk about medium-term, you will get a lot more traffic from the search engines because the links will have you higher in their ranks. In the long run, you will be getting a whole lot of traffic from your position in the search engine ranks.
There are three main factors that determine the search engine ranking of your website:
* Site optimization * Site popularity * Link popularity
You can find a lot of affiliate link programs on the Internet. Some may be free and others will cost you some money; either way, you will have to work hard to achieve this. No matter how you look at it, the majority of all the successful, top high-earning affiliates are involved in some kind of affiliate link program.
The best place to start any linking strategy is with web directories. The two biggest by far are Yahoo and the Google. Being listed in these is absolutely a must because they generate huge amounts of traffic. A real long-term strategy, and one that will add more value to your website, is to create first-rate content (articles, forums, and reviews).
You can use search engines to find websites related to your business that will welcome interesting articles and press releases. Be sure to include a short biography at the bottom of the article or press release, including a link to your website.
You will probably need to have created at least 200 reciprocal links in order for your website to be considered important enough to appear in the top listings of the major search engines, however, it is not a good idea to put all the links on one page. If a webmaster sees a lot of links on a single page, he probably will not accept link requests from you. You want to create a structure of pages where the links will be placed. You will also need to make one or more web pages for links to websites that contain different themes. Then create a web page that will link to each of these pages. This is known as a links index or directory page. Finally, place a title of your home page, description of your home page and its URL in your index or directory page. This will be used by webmasters to put you in their links page.
Another useful tool I use is Jason Pearson's Power House Marketing system. It will give you easy-to-understand guides on how to market your business, no matter what it is. It is like having your own personal mentor with you all the time showing you step-by-step how to succeed.
