Crime and Punishment Chapter Nineteen

In the previous section, Raskolnikov and his friend met with the main police man. They also encounter the law officer Zamyotov. Raskolnikov informs the police officer that he wishes to recover a trinket. The main police officer changes the discussion to the death of the pawnbroker. He tries to make Raskolnikov confess to executing the crime but Raskolnikov does not confess. They then leave the house. Razumikhin and Raskolnikov are now considerably concerned with the murder. Raskolnikov's friend Razumikhin does not think that the police suspect him of committing the murder. Raskolnikov believes he is the central suspect. The pair of men debate steadily. Razumikhin says that the police would not discuss so openly with Raskolnikov if they believe he committed the murder of the pawnbroker. All the same, Razumikhin soon admits that Raskolnikov is apparently suspected of murdering the pawnbroker. The pair of men continue to debate. Raskolnikov and Razumikhin talk about Porifiry Petrovich and talk about his questions. For a second time, Raskolnikov thinks that Porfiry was attempting to trick him into confessing to the murder of the pawnbroker. Razumikhin does not think that The lead police officer was trying to trick Raskolnikov. The men eventally reach Raskolnikov's apartment. In the house, a man tells Raskolnikov that a man has been searching for Raskolnikov. Raskolnikov finds the person on the street. The person calls Raskolnikov a killer. He then goes. Raskolnikov immediately goes back to his room. He is presently troubled tremendously by the {police
